My roommate just included this in an E-mail about our weekend plans.

To geek or not to geek: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the weekend to study
The slings and arrows of outrageous finals,
Or to take arms against a sea of homework,
And by geeking end them? To geek: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That students are heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of geekery what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off our studying,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long work;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of homework,
The professor's wrong, the college's contumely,
The pangs of despised exams, the honor code's delay,
The insolence of office hours and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might fun make
With a video game? who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary semester,
But that dread of something after college,
The undiscover'd GPA from whose bourn
No graduate school or job will return, puzzles the will
And makes us bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus grades do make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn away
And lose the name of geekery.
