So, now that I've had a little time to process Turn Coat, I'd like to first express once again how awesome it and all the other Dresden Files books are, then get some other thoughts on the books down.
1) Murphy is awesome, and keeps getting awesome. I love how even though as a normal human she should be way out of her league at this point, she still manages to be Harry's single most useful and trusted ally by being extremely clever and actually knowing how to use her resources. Plus double tapping two bad guys while moving is BAD ASS, then basically taking down a magical criminal unarmed like he ain't no thang.
2) Mouse is amazing. Him keeping the peace and his acting were two points that just made me smile and laugh out loud. He and Murphy are clearly the sanest people in these books, and they are awesome.
3) Thomas ;_;. That is all.
4) Man, I totally didn't call the traitor, but in retrospect it was PERFECT. That is exactly the kind of person who could do the most damage without anyone suspecting them.
5) SDKFKSFJ Harry I love you you magnificent bastard. This book drove home that not only is Harry really good at improvising, but also really devious. The fact that he outwitted everyone twice and caught the traitor by subcontracting and using the bad guys own mortal tool against them was just brilliant. The kind of multilayered planning he showed was just awesome. Plus, his fight with the Skinwalker was insane. He kicked ass, took names, and almost beat the damn thing. Plus, really my deepest respect for him came at the end. I mean, after what he'd just been through, I totally would have understood him wanting to curl up and hide, like after Susan, but this time he went out and helped someone else deal with their pain. Really shows how he's grown.
6) I love how we're getting more and more details of the magic world, and really fleshing out magic itself. The Sight trauma was particularly nasty, but effective.
7) DO NOT FUCK WITH THE SENIOR COUNCIL. EVER!
