I couldn't go to class today because every parking space within an hour of my grad school was reserved for the damn game.

Though really? This is years of living in a state which worships the ground that damn team walks on while not caring about baseball, and having to regularly commute into the city, which is always a nightmare, while dealing with thousands of people clogging the roads and public transit to go see the game.

24/7 with no means of escape. People cut classes when they win and it is tolerated. People have DIED in riots over this. It is the stupidest thing ever and I am so damn sick of it.

Not to be the one stick in the mud who supports baseball games, but to be fair it's not JUST the Red Sox that bring on annoying hounds of "fandom" which can clog up transportation. Granted, baseball has a large amount of the national population who subscribe to it being the national past time, but even so.

Oh, you are plenty justified in your rage. Heck, when I'm driving and someone takes a slow right turn, I'm apt to yell at them in annoyance. I'm just saying baseball isn't so bad. I could actually write about 3 to 4 paragraphs on why baseball is worthwhile and put it in juxtaposition to things you enjoy JUST to be a devil's advocate/dick, but I'm sure you don't care that much :-P

Though I will say: baseball is not so bad as far as education as you may believe. In fact, it promotes two things quite well - physical fitness and exercise (which lord knows this country of ours needs more emphasis on) and mathematics/basic accounting!
