You know what? I think the Puritans were actually on to something when they feared that Satan was walking among them. In fact, I'm pretty sure he never left Massachusetts. Wanna know how I know this?

Because he's clearly working for the Mass Fucking Transit Authority!

On an unrelated note, this morning I woke up at 5:30 and was out the door by 6:00. I literally just got home, and that's nowhere near the worst part of my day. Ironically, none of the shit I had to deal with came from actually teaching, it came from getting around Boston, my classes, and my job. That is completely ass backwards.

I'm just about ready to bust out my copy of the Malleus Maleficarum and go to High Street in Boston to burn me some spawn of Satan.

No mud. Tons of little things went wrong though. The whole saga will be on LJ shortly.

That's good at least. Mine sounds similar, just with mud and a bus ride to nowhere.

*curls up miserably* I just wrote a huge long rant. And I've probably forgotten a few things, too.

I do not feel good about this semester.

San Francisco: Gays are welcome but Lefties can get right the fuck out.

At least Boston is kind in that it hates everyone with an equal burning passion. The roads were planned by bovines, possibly one of the stupidest creatures on the face of this planet for crying out loud.

I am convinced that Lovecraft gained his knowledge of the occult from studying a diagram of Boston's mass transit systems. Truly, such eldritch horrors were not meant for mortal man to traverse.

The important thing is that you survived today and you won't have to worry about the city crapping its pants in impotent weather-based terror again until Thursday.

Or he rode the bus and was driven utterly mad by the experience. It's a coin toss between the two.

The radio said it would be like spring. They didn't mention it would be British spring.

You just described my getting around Boston survival kit.

My grad school kit involves a case of Pepsi and a flamethrower.

My state needs to teach your state about how to handle bad weather.

Of course your state also has a mass transit system beyond busses and a bus on a track, so more power to them for that.

It's not the weather really. My state handles crappy weather without any problem, it's the fact that getting around is a pain in the best conditions. Getting dropped off at the wrong spot is annoying, getting dropped off in the middle of the rain with no hood or umbrella is rage inducing.
